Silverstone local Jordan Albert moved into the top five of the Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship for leading squad SWR at the Northamptonshire track over the weekend, 30th/31st May, after bagging his biggest points haul of the season – including his third podium of 2015.
Closing to within just 19 points of the coveted top three in the driver standings, the 18-year-old was also in the fight for his second victory of the campaign during a wet round eight on Sunday morning but an unfortunate moment while in third position spoiled his hopes.
“It was obviously good to be back on the podium again this weekend, although a bit disappointing we couldn’t get the win in race two as Jordan had the pace for sure”, said SWR team owner Sean Walkinshaw.
“In race three the tyres were just wrecked at the end. The guys at the front had better tyres available than we did, so for Jordan to finish in fourth was a good result. We’ve made up some good ground in the points, the championship is definitely back on for us now.”
